Draft Horse Fun Show Class Suggestions?
Hello all. I do not know how many people in my area are interested in the project under the branches saddle, but we envision a draft Fun Horse Show. We also want to encourage good people who do things other farm type with their horses, but do not fancy in-hand and pulling with their projects. While this says about these types of classes: 1. Riding under 14 years 2. Riding more 14 3. Fun 4. Lower Hunter fences up to 2.0 5. Gamblers Choice 6. Intro Dressage Test (Walk Trot only) Fun Classes like: 7. Costume 8. Egg / Spoon 9. Barrel Weaving 10. Bareback Dollar Plus? Also .. Trail Class obstacles and possibly in the harness classes as farm log dragging and plowing. Perhaps some relay team events?
Have you heard of race team RSS?? They are a hoot, in general, they oppose the teams mule teams cons horse for more competition in public. You start with either a single or a team clinging to a stone boat, go to line departure. There are six bales of hay in the development in two areas and you have a flag and a driver. The clock on the part of both teams took the driver's team for bullets, loads them signaller. Once they are loaded when you come around the outside of the arena and go to the end where he are cones and enough room for a team to pass. Once they get there, is a return to the serpentine and the line of departure is put up plywood. Unloads Signalman two balls on each plywood as they serpentine through it. the fastest time and least faults wins. The defects are the teams still moving down flaggers. Breaking ball, during the development (they can trot), bullets have put on the plywood and can not touch the ground. etc. etc. This is a crowd pleaser, and overwhelming love this class participants.
